Isaiah 41:17-21
King James Version (KJV)

17 When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
18 I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
19 I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together:
20 That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the Lord hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.
21 Produce your cause, saith the Lord; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.

As I read this passage today I realised that although it had been read to me many times, today is the day it was meant to speak to my heart and my soul. I find myself wanting in so many ways that I fail to realise that spiritual nourishment is just as important as feeding the body and the mind. Everytime I read this passage it reminded me of the tangible things that God has promised me, food that I may not hunger, water that I may not thirst.. Today I found something that satiated more than my physical hunger… It dawned on me that all my spiritual needs He provides for. In the above verses God shows His commitment to His children and knows everybody’s wants and needs. It is in the songs I sing, the books I read, the people who touch my soul and His holy word. He beckons.. He promises.. He admonishes.. He leads.. He loves… He is God, the provider..
